To provide a unity of mind for Spiritualists of every generation.

To dispel the myth that Spirit Of Youth is only for young people.
To provide informative, modern, practical teachings with an experienced, approachable and enthusiastic team.
To promote an understanding of the phenomena and philosophy of National Spiritualism.

Objectives
To encourage individuals to be aware of the potential of their own Spirit.
To enhance their lives through this knowledge.
To build on the foundation of today for the pioneers of tomorrow.



SPIRIT OF YOUTH is about moving forward into the new millennium, incorporating new ideas and forward thinking of the present day. We promote the idea that the spirit is forever youthful, whether you be eight or eighty in the physical body.
We believe in promoting our Spiritualism in such a way that both the younger and older generations can feel a unity and a blending.
Our purpose is twofold in that we aim to encourage younger people to take a more active role in the Union, and also to foster friendships between Spiritualists both young and old through social activities and by building a network of contacts and support for each other.
The SPIRIT OF YOUTH Committee sees its role as a support to people who are trying to find new and groundbreaking ways to present Spiritualism.
If you have the ideas and the inspiration, we are here to provide the encouragement and the advice.
Together we can keep Spiritualism moving forward, always challenging ourselves to find not only answers, but questions.

SPIRIT OF YOUTH promotes membership of its organisation. For a small annual subscription of £5 a year, we will include your name on our mailing list for information on forthcoming Spirit Of Youth events. Please help us support the churches, we are here to promote modern day Spiritualism with a more modern approach, our religion is deserving of better and greater things and has to move forward with the times, most of the work SPIRIT OF YOUTH will be doing will be in the public arena, hopefully encouraging people to take their first tentative steps into our churches and showing them that we are perfectly 'normal' people who also have the capacity for enjoyment and are living in the now and not in the past.
SPIRIT OF YOUTH has taken on board the Seventh Principle 'ETERNAL PROGRESS OPEN TO EVERY HUMAN SOUL' - the operative word being 'PROGRESSION'.


Unfortunately, SPIRIT OF YOUTH has to hold numerous fund-raising and promotional events to do our work correctly, which includes a lot of publicity and outside work. This costs money (that dreaded word). Our whole aim in the future is also to help out with the education aspect within our movement and we would like eventually to be able to subsidise events within our movement so that anybody who wishes to gain the knowledge of spirit will be able to come along and find out for themselves.

SPIRIT OF YOUTH recognise wholeheartedly that it costs a lot of money to keep our churches running, so it would be nice if we can help in such a way that the churches still have the money required for their essential running costs, but people can attend who normally would not be able to because of the cost involved in attending.

Please help support SPIRIT OF YOUTH in its work by either attending some of the demonstrations we have arranged and/or making yourself a member, either way everybody is welcome.
